Rick Santorum is a Horse’s Ass

Here is his quote:

President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob. There are good, decent men and women who go out and work hard everyday and put their skills to test that aren’t taught by some liberal college professor that (tries) to indoctrinate them.

Don’t we all want our children to go to college? Haven’t we learned that the majority of people who are unemployed are those with less than a college education? Our manufacturing jobs have gone overseas and they’re not coming back.

And, there’s a quote I want you to read:

“The unemployment rate among (the) non-college-educated is well into the double digits in America. It’s 4 percent or 5 percent for people who have college degrees.”

Who said that? Rick Santorum – the horse’s ass of the Republican Party. Surprised? I’m not. He can’t even keep his own quotes straight. In case you’re wondering, here are the breakdowns of the unemployment rates for January, 2012 by education:

Education Level Unemployment Rate
Less than High School 13.1%
High School/No College 8.4%
Some College / Associate Degree 7.2%
Bachelor’s and Higher 7.2%

How can you think anyone that wanting all of America to be college educated is a bad thing?

Michele Bachmann Aligns Herself with Radical Christian Group

UPDATE: Michele Bachmann is not alone in the signing of this radical pledge.  I’m sure it will come as no surprise that Rick Santorum has signed the pledge as well.  He didn’t really have a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning the GOP nomination, but Michele did. According to Huffington Post, Tim Pawlenty is “reviewing the pledge.” Jon Huntsman has balls, he’s NOT doing it. I’d like to note here that, also according to Huffington Post, Santorum approached the radical Christian group, as did Bachmann.

The “Christian” group – Family Leader – has published a pledge that Presidential Candidate, Michele Bachmann, has signed.  The pledge includes “Personal fidelity to my spouse.” as well as, “Official fidelity to the U.S. Constitution, supporting the elevation of none but faithful constitutionalists as judges or justices.” The latter statement is humorous, as portions of the rest of the statement are totally against the First Amendment of the Constitution: “Rejection of Sharia Islam and all other anti-woman, anti-human rights forms of totalitarian control.” The President of the United States doesn’t get to reject Islam. We have religious freedom in this nation. In fact, the Pledge later admits that we have religious freedom. Apparently, they just care about their own religious freedom and no one else’s.

Wait, there’s more…

The group shows their true race colors:

Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African American baby born after the election of the USA’s first African-American President.

That would be quite a feat – if it were true. They totally ignore the fact that slave children were often ripped from their mothers to be sold somewhere else and, many times, were the Masters’ own children to boot. Of course, Bachmann has already proven that she knows nothing about our nation’s history, especially when it comes to slavery. And, the study they were quoting? Completed in 2005 and only went back to 1880 – long after slavery ended.

Isn’t it time that we put a stop to the religious fanatics in this country?  Shouldn’t we all be able to live in freedom?

When it comes time to vote for Bachmann, let’s not and say we did.  If she wants to align herself with these religious radicals, then she shouldn’t become President of these United States.

Rick Santorum – South Carolina’s Choice for President

There are days that I honestly believe that Lincoln was wrong and we should’ve let the South succede. When I hear that Rick Santorum won a straw poll as South Carolina’s choice for the Republican nominee for President, it only strengthens that belief. The South has to overcome the image that it is full of nothing but dumb rednecks and, when they choose a man like Santorum, well, they’re not helping their cause.

Rick Santorum is so screwed up that he actually believes that one out of every three pregnancies end in abortion. He couldn’t be farther from the truth. His actual comment was this:

The reason Social Security is in big trouble is we don’t have enough workers to support the retirees. Well, a third of all the young people in America are not in America today because of abortion, because one in three pregnancies end in abortion.

Here’s the thing, if Santorum had just ended his comment at the first sentence, I would be in agreement with him. We don’t have enough workers to support our retirees. When the unemployment rate is 9.2%, we don’t have enough people out there working. But, the reason we don’t have enough workers has absolutely NOTHING to do with abortion. We don’t have enough people employed.

Come to think of it, that still isn’t a very good argument, but it is better than his.

So, please, South Carolina, come to your senses. Don’t vote for this man. He’s missing the basic necessity for clear and logical thinking: a brain.
