Michele Bachmann – A special kind of crazy!

First, Michele Bachmann states that she only became a lawyer because her husband wanted her to do so.  And, she paraphrased Ephesians 5:22 that a wife must submit to her husband.  A wife who submits to her husband is a wife who cannot be President of the United States.  If you believe that God only speaks to you through your husband, then you cannot be the leader of the free world.  Period.  We don’t want a President who will bow down and submit to anyone.  Remember the hoopla because President Obama bowed too low to another world leader?  How could we possibly stand for our President bowing down to her shrink husband?

Well, Bachmann is trying to back away from the statement, by saying the following:

Marcus and I will be married for 33 years this September 10th. I’m in love with him, I’m so proud of him. And what submission means to us—if that’s what your question is—is respect. I respect my husband…and he respects me as his wife. That’s how we operate our marriage. We respect each other, we love each other.

I looked up the definition of submissive and it doesn’t say anything about respect. Her whole thought process is crap. I don’t want Marcus Bachmann advising MY President on anything. The man is a total nutjob.

A vote for Michele Bachmann is a vote for crazy.

Bachmann and the Debt Ceiling…

Michele Bachmann wants you to believe that she’s fiscally responsible.  She wants you to believe that she and the Republican Party had nothing to do with the economy.  She wants you to believe that the stimulus package was a waste of money and didn’t save jobs.  She wants you to believe that raising the debt ceiling right now would be bad and she’s never voted for a raise.

She’s lying on all points.

Back in April, she voted for Ryan’s budget – the one that changes Medicare and lowers the rich tax rate to 25% (10% down from the 35% they pay now).  The Budget wasn’t balanced – the tax cuts would add more to the deficit than they would “save”.  (You can’t cut income and revenue and pay off debt, it just doesn’t happen.)  If Ryan’s budget had passed the Senate, it would’ve necessitated the raising of the debt ceiling.

That’s not fiscally responsible.

Here’s something else (I’m going through her voting record):

Bachmann voted against the Pay As You Go resolution.  The one that states: ”Vote to pass Title IV of the resolution that amends Rule XXI to require that any tax cuts must be offset by either a different tax increase or spending cut, and to require certain listings of congressional earmarks and limited tax and tariff benefits.

See, apparently, she doesn’t understand how fiscal responsibility works.  You can’t cut revenue without cutting spending.

I’m going to stop here.  I’m going to go through her votes.  I know this woman shouldn’t be President, but I think the rest of the country needs to know it.

Sarah Palin: “I think I can win”

Well, what she actually told a report for Newsweek was: “I believe that I can win a national election.”

I would add something to this, but it is just too ridiculous to ponder.  Even among Republicans, Palin is far below nearly every other candidate out there as their choice.  Even a FoxNews poll conducted in June shows Palin losing to Obama 56% to 35%.

Hey, I’d vote for her in the Republican primary – it would guarantee an Obama re-election.

To be fair, the poll showed Obama beating every Republican Candidate (Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty).  I was surprised that the poll didn’t include Bachmann.

You know what the sad thing about Sarah Palin is?  Besides the fact that she is a quitter, having resigned from being governor, when she was governor of Alaska, she mostly made decisions that can best be described as middle of the road or centralist.  90% of our nation’s problems could probably be solved by moving to the middle.  However; to make a name for herself or to get the base all worked up or whatever the reason is, Palin dropped her center road and moved very far to the right – not as far as Bachmann, but farther over than the state of Alaska would’ve liked her to be.

This far move to the right is probably the largest reason she doesn’t stand a chance.  The far righters turn off the independents and there are not enough Tea Partiers in the nation to elect a president that is too far to the right.

So, maybe she thinks she can win, but the truth is; she cannot and she couldn’t.

Run, Sarah, Run!

My Top Ten Reasons for NOT voting for Michele Bachmann

10. She thinks John Quincy Adams is one of our founding fathers. And, she believes that our founding fathers worked tirelessly to eliminate slavery. The woman repeats this fallacy every chance she gets. No matter how many times you repeat something, Michele, it doesn’t make it true.

9. She’s received the benefits of government handouts and then lied about them. (Look it up, she claims she and her husband have no interest in a family farm, but they have received income from said family farm according to the annually required financial disclosure reports she filed.)

8. She tried to compare herself to John Wayne and ended up comparing herself to John Wayne Gacy.  Okay, this is a cheap shot.  She keeps banging away at Obamacare with distorted facts and outright lies.  The $105 billion that hidden in there – right in plain sight, not hidden at all and you won’t be able to purchase private insurance, except you can – the whole freaking bill is to help you purchase private insurance.  The woman wouldn’t know the truth if it crawl up her ass and called her flaky.

7. She doesn’t know how many barrels of oil we have in reserve. She claimed that Obama released all of our reserves, when he only released around 4%.

6. This statement from her website:

“It is Michele’s single greatest calling in public service to ensure that the liberties enshrined in our founding documents are handed down from this generation to the next.”

And, again, she doesn’t understand history. The liberties in our founding documents were for WHITE, LANDOWNERS. Women couldn’t vote and the majority of blacks were slaves. Yep, those are the liberties I want upheld!

5. She has sponsored 38 bills – NOT one of which made it out of committee. NOT ONE.

4. She has an obsession with Light Bulb freedom, (she sponsored H.R. 849:Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act) but NOT an obsession with freedom for people – she’s against gay marriage.

3. She is further right on the Political Spectrum & Legislative Leadership scale than Paul Ryan and Jim Sensenbrenner!

2. She “hosted the first Tea Party Caucus meeting.” (According to her website)

And, my number one reason for NOT voting for Michele Bachmann:

1. She believes that cutting taxes will create jobs.

Donald Trump’s Crass Triade

Last night, Donald Trump appeared at one of his own casinos and announced that he’s thinking about running for President.  Well, I’m glad he cleared that up.  He called our leaders very stupid in his little speech with the open bar.  You can read the whole article here.

But the part that I loved best is this:

“There is a really good chance that I won’t win because of one of these blood-sucking politicians.”

No, Donald, you won’t win because you are nothing but a self-important blowhard who isn’t qualified to be President of the most powerful country on earth. The last thing this country needs is a President who is so arrogant that he believes his own press releases.

The only thing that Trump running would guarantee is that President Obama will have a second term.
