Did you hear the one about the Christian teacher that branded students with a cross?
Sadly, it isn’t a joke. (And, you can read about it here)
But, what is more sad is that the parents of one boy sue and the case is settled. The teacher, who is on unpaid administrative leave, has to pay the family $5,502. Okay, but the family’s attorneys get $115,500, according to a news story here.
Why should the attorneys get that much more than the family?
Doesn’t seem fair, does it? Perhaps we need some legal reforms that the Republicans keep saying we need? I don’t know.
