Palin, Election and the Tea Party

I guess I have had other things on my mind this past week, because I didn’t realize that Sarah Palin was going to speak in Madison yesterday.  Had I known, I would’ve gone there with a sign telling her to go home.  I’m really pretty tired of people from other states trying to influence what happens in mind (I’m talking to you, Koch Brothers, and the Tea Party Express).  Maybe, I’m angry because Prosser will still be one of our Supreme Court Justices.  Hell, I’m not that angry.  When we elected Walker, we proved that collectively, we aren’t a smart state.

What I am angry about is two-fold.  The first is the millions of dollars that the Tea Party Express – a group from California – was allowed to put into our election.  Why should a group in California be allowed to influence an election in Wisconsin?  I don’t think that’s free speech, I consider it crap, but I don’t make the election laws.

The second thing – and this is something about which we should all get angry – where were those 7,000 + votes hiding?  How do you certify an election and, then when the guy you like doesn’t win, you suddenly find 7,000 votes that puts him over the top.  Maybe, it was human error, but something just doesn’t feel right.  For the record, I’d be saying this if Prosser hadn’t won.  I want those votes checked and double-checked.  And, I think – since this is the second time this woman has messed on an election – she should be gone.

  1. It’s ashame you do not mention the millions of dollars poured into the state by union bosses from across the country. Though, I agree it is ashame the public opinion is being formed by outside forces. Our state is filled with sheep.

Your opinion is that we are not a smart state. THE reason the unions are dumping millions of dollars into misleading public opinion IS because of our state’s historical record of being a progressive state. Once again, we are leading the way for states to take hold of their budgets. Other states will be freed by our victories here. And, the unions are running scared. Come on, a supreme court candidate with no judicial experience. She was a hand picked Union candidate. Promoted by the unions so she could be OWNED by the unions.

Regarding, Waukesha… If the public and media were not hell bent on calling elections the night of the election, this situation would never have happened. The error WAS identified and corrected when the vote was certified. You see, certification is not a process conducted for the figures released to the Associated Press. Certification is a process conducted for the figures submitted to the state. Your certification of the 7000 was witnessed, certified by the your elected DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR. The old woman admitted to both at the press conference, “All the numbers jive.” Now of course, after the democratic party and the unions lean on the poor woman, she recants her story and claims she was confused. For crying out loud, GIVE IT UP!

Democrates are acting like children. Take your ball and go home. We will not really miss you at the game anyway!

Did the Republicans and Tea Party act this way when the Democrates shoved National Heathcare down America’s throat WITHOUT a vote? Did the Republicans and Tea Party leave DC and “hide” in Illinois?

RECALL CHRIS LARSEN!!! GO SCOTT WALKER!!!

  2. You know, maybe an election official shouldn’t bend to the media and public and call an election before everything is counted. You’ve ignored the fact that this isn’t the first time Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus had made a mistake on election night. You’ve, also, ignored the fact that I would be upset even if the candidate I liked had been elected. Human error mistakes like this shouldn’t happen period. Now, you can defend her all you want, but she still should lose her job. Her job is to certify elections, not make mistakes while bending to public pressure.

Now, getting back to unions. Unions are the only thing that protects workers rights. There is nothing wrong with collective bargaining. You’ve just been so brainwashed into if it’s good for business, it’s good for America that you don’t realize that unions are not the enemy.
